Emergency first aid kit
for rabbit
Emergencies can happen anytime so it's a wise
idea to have an emergency kit on hand that you might need for your rabbit. The
kit should contain and stock with the complete set of items for treating
rabbit’s minor ailments. If not all at least provide or include the following
items in your set of emergency kit.
Medications:
1. iodine (for livestock)
2. antibiotic ointment
3. hydrogen peroxide
4. terramycin powder
5. petroleum jelly
6.
rubbing alcohol
7. hemorrhoid ointment
8.
syringes
9. hydrogen peroxide
Tools/supplies:
1. small dropper
2.
nail clippers
3.
scissors
4. cotton buds or balls
5. baby oil
6. bottle (can fill up hotwater as warmer)
7. styptic powder or flour
8.
eyedropper and saline
9.
tweezers
10.
hot water bottle or bed
warmer
You may already have these tools and medications
in your home and some were available at local drug store in cheap price. Consider
to create a checklist a list of quick medications for rabbit as well as vet’s
name and phone number.
