Weepy Eyes

Also known as conjunctivitis, it is a bacterial infection within the rabbit’s eyelids cause by irritants, such as dust, fumes, and smokes.

Symptoms
The eyelids inflamed and discharge coming out from the eyes. Thus the rabbit’s fur on its feet become wet and tangle due of its rubbing on its eyes.

Treatment
Treat the allergy using eye antibiotic or ointment under the rabbit’s eyelids. You can also clean the eye with a commercial eye washing product.

Prevention
Prevent the rabbits from eye irritants like dust, fumes, and smoke. Isolate the infected rabbit from the herd.
